The Question

Through its Energy Efficiency division, Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) promotes energy-saving products and programs to its business and residential customers to reduce grid load. Could we help the long-established electric utility rebrand this crucial initiative?

The Answer

Based on extensive brand research — which included a statewide survey with more than 500 respondents and discovery groups with nearly 50 customers — we found that Oklahomans wanted to see a warmer, human side to the big utility, while relaying the ease of utilizing programs and the ability to save money every step of the way.

With the Life Powered Forward campaign, we created concepts and approaches from the ground up, starting with video and photoshoots, designing prints and digital assets, building out annual media plans and budgets over multiple channels, and coordinating all the elements of the marketing campaign on a daily level to drive energy savings and conversions throughout the PSO service areas.

The Outcome

As the agency of record (AOR) for PSO, we continue our work to this day. With optimizations including the implementation of Google Analytics 4 and a recent website redesign and rebuild, our efforts generate increases in money-saving rebates and signups to seasonal programs, all of which help PSO reach their customer-focused goals.
