We are deeply satisfied when a client says, “You’ve made a real difference in our business.” But that’s not the only reason we get out of bed in the morning.
As a company, we’re on a mission to make communities stronger and more prosperous — in part through our work with cities, counties, and institutions of higher learning across the country, but also by acting as a revenue engine for local journalism.
As individuals, we have disparate, impassioned perspectives, so we thrive on spirited debate. Sometimes, it’s a little uncomfortable. We might make your palms sweat. But out of discomfort come breakthrough ideas.
Medium Giant is the strategic, innovative extension of the longest operating business in Texas, which has shifted the paradigm of media centricity to expanded marketing services.
That expansion included investing in and acquiring digital and experiential marketing solutions that bolstered the ability to drive positive change for clients’ businesses. In 2019, the acquisition of a Tulsa-based creative firm completed our transformation into a full-service marketing agency.
In 2021, we revealed our new brand and name — Medium Giant — that celebrates our history and our future. “Medium” refers to the means, the mode, and the message by which we help brands deepen connections. It is the lifeblood of our organization. “Giant” references the giant mindset that keeps us focused on accelerated business growth for our clients.
Today, we are made up of more than 160 rebellious explorers, collaborative challengers, and people-first futurists, with offices in Dallas and Tulsa and clients nationwide.

Together is how we do things. We embrace failure, encourage debate, and question everything in pursuit of success. There is never just one of us or only one way because that means avenues were left unexplored. When we hold each other to the flame, we ignite game-changing ideas.

Why We’re Committed to Diversity, Equity + Inclusion

Under the leadership of Leona Allen Ford, our Diversity, Equity + Inclusion (DE+I) Council comprises an inclusive set of representatives from across our companies: Medium Giant, The Dallas Morning News, Al Día, and Distribion. It’s intended to be a conduit and a feedback channel between employees and top leadership. In other words, the council’s job is to advocate on behalf of every employee and push our leaders toward progress.
But we know DE+I is not a job for one person or one council. Everyone plays a part.
