Two Legends. One Digital Home.
American Song Archives Case Study
TAGS

American Song Archives is the organization behind Tulsa’s Bob Dylan Center and Woody Guthrie Center—two museum properties that connect visitors with the lives, work, and legacies of influential American musicians.

The Opportunity
Following the launch of the Woody Guthrie Center website, American Song Archives needed a more unified and scalable digital ecosystem for managing both museum properties. The existing Bob Dylan Center microsite required a replatform that could support immersive storytelling, simplify internal content management, and create a seamless experience for ticketing and memberships across both brands.
The organization also needed digital experiences that could honor each artist’s legacy while supporting evolving programming, events, memberships, and ticketing needs. The challenge was balancing archival storytelling with modern, user-friendly experiences that could connect with new audiences and deepen engagement with longtime supporters.

The Strategy
We replatformed BobDylanCenter.com from Craft CMS to a multisite WordPress environment, allowing both museum websites to be managed within a single CMS. Using Elementor for flexible, visually rich page creation and integrating Tessitura for streamlined ticketing and membership transactions, we created responsive digital experiences tailored to each museum.
For the Bob Dylan Center, the experience reflects the museum’s immersive brand identity and gives visitors access to the creative life of one of America’s most important and influential artists.
For the Woody Guthrie Center, we developed a warm, story-driven website that blends contemporary usability with handcrafted, archival-inspired design elements, including Woody Guthrie’s handwriting and historical content throughout the experience.
Together, the sites give American Song Archives a more efficient and flexible digital foundation for managing dynamic programming, events, memberships, ticketing, and ongoing content updates.

The Results
The new multisite WordPress environment created a unified digital ecosystem for both museum properties, while preserving the distinct identities of the Bob Dylan Center and Woody Guthrie Center.
The responsive websites provide more immersive and approachable visitor journeys, streamline ticketing and membership transactions through Tessitura, and give American Song Archives staff greater flexibility in managing content.
